There are 5 buildings: 4 units are 3 bedrooms, and 1 is being converted in to 4 bedrooms

2 Bulk food stores, 1 grocery store Safeway which will be expanding this summer, Ulmers, Fred Meyers is coming this summer, Starbucks is also coming this summer
Child Care/Schools~
There are thee grade schools, one middle school, and one high school, lots of preschools, and Head start. There are lots of child care facilities, in home and at facilities.
Adult Schools~
Kenai Peninsula College which is a branch of University of Anchorage Alaska. There are a lot of classes offered and some of them are distance classes.

Hunting, Fishing, Snow mobileing, 4-wheeling, Clam digging, Hiking, swimming, Bay Club, float plane rides, shopping,

One of Homer's NewspapersHousing has a bon fire pit and that was the hang out in the summer as well as the winters...I do recommend Rain and snow gear a must. You just never know!
