70's are about the warmest it ever gets here. Lots of rain in this area! Some really beautiful days too! Not much of a seasonal change other than the amount of rain.
Medical~
Both Fortuna and Eureka have hospitals.
Housing~
Ferndale Housing has single level and two story duplexes. The duplexes have car ports and small storage sheds. There are fenced back yards. There's a great playground area for kids in Housing and a small Rec. Center that can be rented.
Shopping~
There is a mall in Eureka with several stores. Eureka also has Target, Costco, Michaels, Joann Fabrics, two movie theaters, lots of local businesses, and restaurants. Ferndale is real nice to wander through all the local businesses. Crescent City has the nearest Wal-Mart. Redding is a couple hours away with tons of shopping.

Fun Activities~
There is SO much to do here if you love the outdoors! Lots of beautiful places to take a drive. Lots of hiking and trails and places to camp. The Redwoods are right here. There's Elk watching. Plenty of beaches. Eureka has a small zoo and Crescent City has a small aquarium. Indoors there's bowling, movies, museums, live theater, and shopping. Eureka is an official Coast Guard City so every year there is about a week long celebration with all kinds of fun activities.
