Weather~
Oh goodness, do you have to ask? HOT! Hot and humid. So hot, I refused to spend much time outside with my 9 month old. But, people say you get used to the humidity after awhile. Of course, during Summer, whenever the temp. reaches 95 it rains and there's a thunderstorm which was exciting for us! Running through the rain in our flip flops because it's too hot to put clothes on to shield the water off. The winter was "cool" I guess, but we still have to turn on our air conditioning to make it cold in our house for Christmas.

Military facilities~
We never made it to the closest PX because we heard it was about an hour away.

Medical~
We had an awesome doctor for my son. I didn't get so lucky! I hated my doctor, and I just never looked for another one.

Housing~
There is no housing, you must live on the economy. Which wasn't so bad, but it makes the drive to the base at least 15 min (if you live in Clearwater) and longer than that from St. Pete. Everyone we talked to spent more than their housing allowance just when paying their rent.

Shopping~
Lots of shopping, but no See's candies or Baskin Robbins! Tartget, Babies R Us, lots of beautiful malls (in Tampa), Publix (which is where we shopped) Albertson's.

Adult Schools~
The school was very expensive! The St. Pete Junior College was at least a 30 minute drive and it was 58 dollars a unit. Yikes!

Fun Activities~
Swimming and beach are obviously the best part about living in Florida. Other than that, it was just too hot to do anything outside!
