Naval Commissary about 45 miles south in Brunswick, ME. Small local exchange.
Housing~
New housing nearby in Thomaston. I think they are all full now but you never know. Our house will be available for rent if we get orders.
Shopping~
Old Wal-Mart, Old JCPenney, New TJMaxx and other local stores. There is an Old Navy, GAP, Kohl's and Lane Bryant 45 minutes away in Augusta. The Maine mall in Portland doable in a day.
Fun Activities~
Snow stuff in the winter and outdoor stuff in the summer

The PenBay YMCA offers 90 day family membership at no cost with orders. They have been extending ours at 90 days each while they are still running that offer. Lots of great programs for kids and families at little or no cost.
