small exchange at the Rockland station, commissary and next in brunswick about 1 hour away
Medical~
tricare prime remote or martins point recommended here. no military facility for families but you have penbay medical center in town
Housing~
they just built housing . they are duplexes with a yard and garage. A lot of families rent or purchase homes here
Shopping~
walmart, shaws, hannaford, tj maxx, home depot,jcpenney. a few others but the nearest mall would be portland about 1 hour 45 minutes, augusta is an hour and has some nice shops too like old navy, bath and body and good restaurants
Adult Schools~
thomaston has college classes
Fun Activities~
tons of festivals, beaches, camping, hiking

Rockland is a great place to live and most people don't want to leave. It is a small town that has everything you need and the people here are great.
