Station/Boat Location~Group Charleston - MSO Charleston
Date there~1999-2000
Weather~Hot and Humid most of the time but nice in the fall and winter months with a need for a jacket.
Military facilities~Commissary, Navy Exchange, shoppetes, Medical Clinic. You can also go to Charleston AFB to their commissary and exchange.
Medical~Naval Clinic for most all your needs very convenient and located in the housing area.
Housing~There is plenty of housing available and each is very nice.
Shopping~Tons of shopping and Malls to go to not to mention Market street where are there are tons of people selling their home made creations.
Fun Activities~Lots of sports games to attend, The Spoleto(arts and crafts), beaches, historical landmarks and plenty more.
Child Care/Schools~There are a few in housing. One is MenRiv which is where dd went and is a great school. The other is Marrington Elementary and Middle, and Goose Creek High which is right outside base. And all are within walking distance.
Adult Schools~Many to choose from.
Additional Info~Great southern hospitality to be had here. I enjoyed it a lot and hated to leave.
