Weather~
Very humid during the summer. Rains usually in the evenings, straight rain, not a lot of wind.

We use the doctors at UT Family Practice.

Housing~
None....sorry. Housing has been phased out in this area. There are barracks available for Geo's and single people. Everyone is on the economy. Suggested places to live on the outskirts of Chattanooga: Ooltewah, Apison, Soddy Daisy, Signal Mountain. There are several locations within the city limits of Chattanooga that are fine as well. We live in Hixson and LOVE it!

Shopping~
The largest mall in the state is located in Chattanooga. There is a small mall here in Hixson and the Hamilton Place Mall only 10-15 minutes away as well. There is a Walmart around every corner, several K-Marts and Targets as well. We are getting a NEW super Target opening in October. Pharmacies abound. They have the downtown outlet stores which carry top of the line name-brands. There are plenty of specialty shops as well. LOTS OF SHOPPING!! If you like Thrift Stores, we have America's Thrift Store off of Lee's Highway. Huge!!!!!! We also have Flea Markets on the weekends.

Chattanooga State Technical Community College University of Tennessee - Chattanooga Southern Adventist University Tennessee Temple University

Smokey Mountains . . . BEAUTIFUL. There is hiking up the mountains, you do boating, water ski, and fish for bass on the Tennessee river, whitewater raft down the Ocoee River, camp at any number of state parks, ride on the old rails, ride UP on the Incline Railway, Shop, Dine and Dance, Laugh, go to the theater, browse the art district, walk across the longest pedestrian bridge in the world, and ride a carousel with hand carved horses,Tennessee Aquarium, 3D IMAX Theater, Children's Discovery Museum, the National Towing Museum, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Raccoon Mountain Caverns, the Southern Belle Riverboat, and a safe downtown.
