Great summers...anywhere from 70s-90s, Spring and Fall are great..mild temps..,Winter..COLD and snowy, although not much snow this year!
Military facilities~
Selfridge is about 30-40 min. away. There's an exchange and commissary there...medical too I think. A lot of it is being shut down though, but I think the exchange and commissary are staying.
Medical~
We go to Mitchell Medical in town...haven't had to utilize them yet but DH has and hasn't had any problems. If not there, Selfridge is just 30-40 min. away.
Housing~
On the economy...housing at Selfridge is being shut down.
Shopping~
Everything you need is within a 10 min. drive, and if you want more, Detroit is only an hour away! We have Meijer, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, a pretty decent mall w/ JC Penney, Younkers, Marshall Fields, Sears, etc...
Adult Schools~
St. Clair Community College and Baker College are both in town, access to larger universities within an hour.
Fun Activities~
During the summer the lake--the water is crystal blue and beautiful!! Lots of boat races, etc. Movies in the park, different festivals and things downtown. A few museums to visit...
In the winter, Flags hockey team..
Again, Detroit is only an hour. Niagara Falls is only 3-4 hours.

Even though we've only been here a year, we've really loved it! The summers are great, there's always a lot going on! Visit the city's website, they keep a good updated calendar of events
