Summers are beautiful, can get hot and humid. Winters are cold and windy, occasional snow storms Spring, not much one one - jumps from winter to summer Fall is great, best time of year in the Hamptons

Southampton (Hamptons OBGYN) they also have an East Hampton Office, but you must go through Southampton to get an appt. in the East Hampton Office. Southampton Hospital

Coast Guard Housing in East Hampton for married/families. 30 mins from CG Station.
There are 10 CG Houses

Shopping~
There is a shopping area in Bridgehampton, 10 mins away. (Kmart, Gap, Gap Kids, Childrens Place, Speedo, TJMax, King Kullen Groceries, etc.)There is also shopping in Riverhead, 30/45 mins away. There is an outlet mall there Tanger Mall

Child Care/Schools~
Living in the East Hampton Housing, you are in the "Springs" which puts your children in the Springs School District.

Adult Schools~
Southampton Community College in Southampton. May want to check into this, there was talk of it closing. SUNY in Riverhead as well

Fun Activities~
New York City is about a 2 hour drive from The Hamptons. Winery's, Beach, fishing charters in Montauk, Ferries to Block Island, Lighthouse tours (CG gets in for free), shopping in town
