Weather~
nice...except during hurricane season!
Military facilities~
2 exchanges and commissaries (navy and air force)...also a small CG exchange downtown.
Housing~
we chose to do BAH and get apartments...there are MANY different areas to choose from that are reasonable driving distances...as well as tons of apartments in those areas.
Shopping~
LOTS of shopping everywhere!...credit cards are a must!
Adult Schools~
I graduated from College of Charleston, but there is also another main university, Charleston Southern University. there is also Trident Technical college.
Fun Activities~
LOTS AND LOTS of fun stuff to do. 2 major beaches (one is family oriented, the other is surfer oriented)...tons of shopping and fun downtown...always festivals.

REALLY nice town to get stationed.
